H2 - baseball comic book

Today, I want to post my favorite comic book. The name is H2 

H2 is actually the stroy of 4 young high school students rather than the stroy of baseball.

o.,o Story //

best friends since junior high who are awesome baseball players fall for the same girl, Hikari, who happens to be the main character, Hiro’s childhood friend. However, Hiro only learned that he liked Hikari after he played cupid between Hikari and his best friend, Hideo. The story goes on revolving around the relationship between the 3, the people around them and baseball. It eventually ends of with the 2 Hs (which explains why the title is H2), Hiro and Hideo facing off in a cliche pitcher vs batter duel at the holy baseball ground, Koushien.

 

When I first glenced this comic, I thought that the painting style is too simple.

However, the more I read it the more I hooked on the style, humor and passion of it.

The writer of this book,Adachi Mitsuru, Japanese, is very clever and humorous. He draws pictures very detailly and well catchs the change of subtle emotion in his character.

I recomand all his works. ( especially Lough, Swim comic )

This comic was also made as a TV drama and animation serises.

The animation was made long time ago and I think the animaiton failed to express the quality of original comic but, the original comic book is really good. Have a look at this^^
